Bettina Geisseler, admitted to the bar in Germany, is a legal expert in international infrastructure and energy projects, with a strong focus on hydropower. Since 2009, she has led the law firm GEISSELER LAW, advising clients in the engineering sector on contracts related to the construction and operation of power plants and dams worldwide.
Her strong commitment to hydropower is reflected in her role as a member of the Scientific Committee of the Société Hydrotechnique de France (SHF), member of the Scientific Committee of the Fifth International Dam World Conference 2025, member of the ETIP HYDROPOWER Governing Board, and Chair of the External Advisory Board for the ALPHEUS project.
She also contributes to questions on safety and sustainability in connection with dams or underground works through her involvement in the International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) and the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association (ITA-AITES), serving on various Technical Committees and Working Groups.
